As some of you know, in addition to my role at the OLF I am also involved in ASIA as their marketing director. We are gearing up an effort to increase the revenue on the magazine and I am in need of a few helpers should anyone have an interest in volunteering.

Primarly, I am interested in people to fill two basic roles:

1) Research. I need someone with either the data resouces or the gumption to call target companies (and/or their respective ad agencies) and find out who the marketing vp's. director's, etc. are. I have about 200 - 300 target companies on my list and this would be a huge help. I am not looking for all of this information to be instantly gathered, but if you would be willing to spend a few hours a month on it (or better yet put an intern or admin from your office on it who has nothing much to do) that would be great.

2) Sales. I need a couple of people to help me make a few calls monthly. Professional sales people are definitely preferable, but if you are a generally pleasant and pursuasive person that will work fine too. Fortunately selling ASIA is pretty easy and not too many people are hostile or threaten to kill you for distrubing them.

If you have an interest in helping drop me a PM and we can chat.

Thanks.

Uh! You... don't... mention those that are hostile "AND" threaten to kill you? Is there a reason for this?

I'd like to help, but I'm a bit hostile and I like to threaten people over the phone.

Probably wouldn't work out very well.

You know.. just the typical abuse you take when you are cold calling...

Seriously though... that was a joke. Everyone has been very receptive to the calls.
